So, unless you are looking for a property in the lowest price range, which I would say is $200,000 and under, there is a decent amount of inventory on the market. According to Trulia, it is now cheaper to buy than rent in 98 of the top 100 metros in the US, Phoenix included! Some areas in Phoenix have tripled their rental amounts in the last 2 years. It could be time for those on the fence to trade in that monthly rent payment for a mortgage, especially since interest rates are at a 10 year low.
